Matt Franklin

Teaching: In Spring 2015, I am teaching ECS 188 (Ethics of Science and Technology).

Background: I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University in February 1994. Before joining U.C. Davis in July 2000, I worked at various research labs (Xerox PARC in Palo Alto, CA; AT&T Labs in Florham Park, NJ; AT&T Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ). My cv is here.

Activities: My research interests include a wide variety of topics in cryptology and distributed computing, including protocols for electronic commerce, threshold cryptology, secure distributed computation, combinatorial security, electronic voting, and cryptanalysis.
