Announcements

• Grading of the final exams was completed on Friday but I debated and debated about grade assignments, as usual, finally posting grades yesterday, on Monday. The grading was quite liberal, and some of you will be getting a grade higher than expected. If you would like to see your exam, discuss the comments on your final paper, or just chat, you can find me in my office during Winter term.
• I haven’t had a chance to type up a summary of my closing comments, but I still hope to do that.

Course information

• Schedule and assignments – grows with each class and has your assignments
• Jacob’s office hours: Tuesday 11-12 in SSH 1256 (Social Sciences & Humanities, the “Death Star”). The building is notoriously difficult to navigate. Look for signs to the STS program.
• My office hours are my personal homepage.
• The presentation schedule identifies your group number
• Course-information sheet – has the usual information – plus information unusual enough that you had better read
• Gradescope will be used to submit and return assignments.
• Online reader has most of our readings, and more. More stuff will no doubt be added
• Schedule from Spring 2019 – the last time I taught the class – a sample of what to expect
• Types of written assignments – analysis, questions, etc.
• Project information – explains what you need to know about your course project
• Canvas – might not be used a whole lot, but will be used
