The OCB web pages were last touched
on Feb 21, 2023.
OCB is a blockcipher mode of operation that simultaneously provides
privacy and authenticity.
It is simple and efficient, equally suitable for hardware and software.
OCB is about twice as efficient as more conventional ways to
encrypt with authenticity.
OCB was designed and analyzed using the provable-security paradigm.
- Old code and news
- Software performance (graphs and tables made for our FSE 2011 paper)
(IETF RFC; “The OCB Authenticated-Encryption Algorithm”)
- Publications (OCB-related papers by Rogaway, 2001–2014)
- Public domain
I long ago abandoned all OCB-related IP that I owned;
use of the algorithm is, as far as I am concerned,
in the public domain.
